Plans are well ahead for this year's Royal London,
which we hope to be the best ever.
Registrations are again increased from last year,
and we have planned lots for you to do over the three days.

Major changes to Championship Judging

Those qualifying for any of the Championships will be given a card in the ring on being placed. This will be either just the first placed, first and second, or in some classes first, second and third, depending on how many classes make up a section. We think the card system will avoid any confusion - your card will tell you when and where to show up for championship judging, and at what time to present yourself for the evening performance. Keep it safe - no card, no championship!

In the interests of streamlining our Evening Performances, all Championships will be judged outside after the last class in that section. This will ensure that your judge will have plenty of time to do a thorough job and get the right result.

You will not be told the result at that time; you will still get the opportunity to dress up for the evening performance and show your horses off the the crowd as before.
You will be asked to go round - at an appropriate pace for the type of class - and then line up. The Champion, Reserve Champion, and Reserve Reserve in each section will be pulled forward for presentation of rosettes and sashes, and for photographs. In this way we hope to keep the evening running to time throughout, prevent boredom, and allow more evening time for fun stuff!

The Supreme In Hand Championship, the Supreme Ridden Championship and the Overall Supreme Championship will be judged by three completely fresh judges, who will not have judged any of the horses during this show. The top three In hand horses and the top three ridden horses will compete for the Overall Supreme of Show. This way, we hope to avoid any bickering which was unfortunate last year
