About

The Royal London Show is a Championship Show for all types of horses and ponies. Anyone is eligible to compete, provided that they have qualified for entry by being placed in a qualifying class and registered with the International Showing Society. Qualifying classes are held at over 120 qualifying shows all over the country throughout the season. The show is pitched at those exhibitors who are perhaps not quite good enough to qualify for HOYS or Olympia, but we also welcome those who have qualified, who want to have a “practice run” before their big day.

Since being taken over by the present management in 2004 the membership of the ISS and the popularity of the show has increased 500%; and with the introduction of new classes for 2007 and a new permanent venue is set to move ahead in leaps and bounds.

The big attraction of the Royal London Show is the glittering Evening Performance, where competitors wear evening dress, and show their horses accompanied by music and spotlights. Entry to the Evening Performance is achieved by being placed in classes throughout the day, and the programme is designed so that as many people as possible can have their moment of glory under the spotlights.
