Affiliation Information

Our aim is to have at least one qualifying show within easy reach of everyone throughout the UK. However, there are still some gaps in the map which we are anxious to fill.

Affiliation is still FREE OF CHARGE for qualification cards only; special rosettes are available for your class winners if you wish at a nominal charge.

What you need to do . . .
Download the affiliation form by clicking either of the icons below and send it in to our office as soon as possible, enclosing your cheque (if applicable). This will ensure that your show receives maximum publicity via our website and members’ newsletters. Don’t worry if your draft schedule isn’t ready yet – you can send it in to us later on. It's probably easier and quicker if you can email these documents to the office.

Wording for the front of your schedule is as follows:
“This show is affiliated to the International Showing Society and is a qualifier for the Royal London Show 2010”

Wording to be included inside your schedule is as follows:
“First, second and third placed horses/ponies in the following classes . . .  will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at the Royal London Show in 2010. Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Royal London Show, provided the owner and rider/handler are, or become registered with the International Showing Society within 28 days of the qualifying show. No horse registration is required. For up to date information telephone the I.S.S. secretary on (01425) 471680/(07971) 931971 or see www.royallondonshow.co.uk

Send in your draft schedule as soon as it is available. This is so we can check your wording, decide which of your classes would be eligible, and work out how many qualification cards and rosettes (if applicable) you will need. You may order your rosettes at this time if you wish. Your qualification cards will be sent to you on approval of your draft schedule. The cards may be signed by either Judge, steward or show secretary – you may sign the cards in advance to save your Judge’s time in the ring if you wish. Qualification may be handed down as far as sixth place if the Judge feels there is sufficient merit. Rosettes (if applicable) will be dispatched separately in good time for your show date.

You should send us a final schedule for our records, but you do not need to send us your results except in the case of lost cards etc.

If you have any queries, you should contact either Pat on (01425) 471680 or Andrea on (01725) 511551

Classes which may be affiliated
Types of classes which are eligible for affiliation to the Royal London Show are listed below.
Please note that competitors may qualify from novice classes, and will be eligible to compete in the Open Championship classes if they wish. It is up to the individual Show Committee whether they wish to include novice classes as qualifiers. The winners of any foal classes qualify to compete as yearlings, as there are no foal classes at Royal London. However, a foal may accompany a brood mare into the ring if an exhibitor wishes.
